A psychological study of the male dominated society

A psychological study of the male dominated society.
In a society which is fast changing and it is impossible to keep up, we have a major intolerance and inability to accept change , and that results In a major action shift like that of the khap panchayat.
There is a. Theory of cognitive dissonance which applies here.for years Ina repressed , male dominated society, there has been a way of life. Correct or wrong, it has been accepted by all the people. As humans we want to avoid the labour of thinking as much as possible. We hate ambiguity and confusion, hence if it has been happening this way, it is right, and if it is right it should continue this way. Male members take the decisions, woman do the household work, they sit when told to sit and stand when told to stand. The eldest MALE member of the family takes all the decisions, everyone accepts it, no ambiguity. If you do not have anyone to question the decision, or an opposition or a voicing of a contradictory point of view, how can you be wrong.
It is also not the male members fault as he does not know when he is wrong, and once he feels he is right a couple of times, then according to him he is right always.
Now with the change in society, where he is being bombarded with information, widespread media coverage, the internet and education all around, he is feeling threatened.
He sees woman succeed in all fields, woman with lesser clothes doing more than he can, woman taking the stand for different reasons, you have them on TV, board rooms , behind the wheel, he is all confused.
His mind says that his beliefs are correct and his eyes say something different and this confusion leads to PANIC.
Here is where  the theory of cognitive dissonance comes into play. The theory says that when there is a confusion, the mind will bend the existing reality in such a way as to resonate with the existing beliefs.
As we know , man cannot stand confusion, and needs to put his mind at rest as soon as possible , it will take the easiest route to re affirm his beliefs, hence kill the couple, ban jeans and cellphones, or anything to get rid of the problem. The root is not important, but immediate remedy is , like antibiotics, kill the symptom.
so if a girl and boy are in love, kill them and problem solved.
Now to justify actions to oneself, you can have any excuse like family honour, same gotra etc. it doesn't matter, as long as mind is at rest and you can sleep peacefully.

Seeing the above explanation, we can see that this knee jerk reaction to panic is applied Ina number of situations.
Whenever you question someone's faith on religion, or a particular god, once the confusion or panic sets in, it leads them to get angry, violent , abusive and even mass destruction steps.
Do we have a solution for this? I don't know . But now we know the problem , I know we can reach the solution.
 Or can we?.

Astrology and psychology2

Part 2
Now I will talk about the influence of rahu and ketu with moon.
What are rahu and ketu.
They are nothing but the shadows of the moon. As the moon reflects the suns rays on the earth, there is also a shadow created. The two ends of this shadow is called rahu and ketu. They always stay opposite to each other. Mythologically rahu is the head and ketu is the body. They are represented that way because of their characteristics. Rahu is only the head, no body, hence it is the baseless ego and undying hunger. It wants more and more and never gets satisfied, it is the materialistic part, equally opposite is ketu. A body without a head, or without ego. Doesn't want anything, hence it is the spiritual part of the body.
Now it is clearly imaginable , when they sit with moon, what kind of influence will they make.
Now some basic maths and logic, rahu + moon , gives us someone with a lot of confusion, anger and impatience irrational on demands, while ketu will have a more altruistic feel to it.  As no head with emotions, means purely intuition based thinking and thinking from the heart. Lack of logic.

Now psychologically speaking, it is easy to see and predict that people with a lot phobias, fears, irrational anger  definitely have a damaged moon, and more common than not have the influence of rahu and ketu over the moon.
Of course other planets also influence, like mars and moon makes a person come with blind anger, and saturn and moon will make the person emotionally cold.unable to display much emotions, but it is clear that the initial diagnosis who need psychological or psychiatric help ,we can predict that the moon is afflicted in some way.

astrology and psychology

the main discussion i want to have is that of the planet moon and its effects on the mind.
we know about natures law of gravity, we know two masses, however big or small pull each other.
it has been proven that tides are due to the pull of the moon.
the question is, why not the same pull on our body and minds?. we are 70 % water, the brain is 80 % fluid.
we are in the most delicate balance of nature possible.
the poisons in our body is measured in ppm i.e. parts per million. arsenic poisoning, lead poisoning, mercury poisoning. a small change in temperature, i.e. 1 degree Celsius, makes us lie in bed and feel shitty. a small change in potassium, sodium, chloride in our body makes us behave abnormal. we share a genetic similarity to monkeys by 99%, well not surprising, but, we share a genetic similarity to a rat by 92%!!
point of all this being, that even the minutest or insignificant change in our body balance, throws us off, then why not the pull of the moon on a body which is 70% water.
a full moon is 9 times brighter than a half moon., hence 9 times potential in light, hence it can be safely said, a higher effect on us.
now explaining it , at the time of birth, when our body, and specially our skull which is very soft and tender, gets exposed to the atmosphere for the first time. now at that particular moment , in a dynamic environment where all the planets are influencing the environment, as each is projecting its own gravitational pull and each is at a different distance according to its position from us, has a different push and pull on our body.
moon being the closest , has the maximum influence, and hence influences the fluid in our brain and body the most.
where does psychology play a role? i am coming to that....
next article ,i will link psychology and astrology keeping moon as base.
would also discuss the shadows of moon and observations of its psychological effect on people.
